It can be really tricky to make caravan beds at the best of times with odd shaped mattresses and beds against walls.
The job can be made easier if you use fitted sheets for caravan beds but the advantages of spending a little bit more on elasticated fitted sheets for the caravan don’t stop there.
Many caravan beds also act as hand storage by lifting up the mattress.

What is a French mattress in a caravan
A French mattress in a caravan is a double bed with the bottom corner cut off at a forty five degree angle. This is usually for easy access to the rear bathroom. As the beds are sometimes on the right and sometimes on the left of the caravan you will need to get the appropriate rest or right hand fitted sheet.
What is the difference between an island bed and a French bed in a a caravan
An island bed is usually centred in the back bedroom of the caravan off the back or side wall. The feet end of the bed is rounded off on each side to give extra space in the rear bedroom of the caravan.
How wide are single caravan beds
Most single beds require a fitted sheet of 2 feet and 3 inches by 6 foot.
Other types of fitted sheets for caravan beds
There is one other main type of mattress that may require a fitted sheet and that is the three piece.
This is required when you put together two beds and an extra bit giving you the requirement for a three piece fitted sheet.
